WHAT IS PILATES?
Pilates is a method of gentle exercise aimed at strengthening the body to create core stability, postural alignment and mental wellbeing. It is great for specific injuries and conditions or to reduce risk of injury due to musculoskeletal imbalances.
Pilates is fun, invigorating and energising for the body. Originally developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900’s, the principles of pilates include concentration, control, centering, precision, flowing movement, breathing, alignment and commitment.
